Wishing on trains – Alison Lowry

The story follows four cousins who share a dark secret from their childhood. Their idyllic childhood spent on their grandmother’s farm seems far behind them, and as adults, they have built new lives for themselves. However, their past comes back to haunt them when their grandmother’s old house is demolished and a skeleton is discovered in the basement. The discovery forces the now grown-up cousins to confront the devastating consequences of their actions decades earlier.
