The Epistle to the Hebrews is an extraordinary book in the New Testament. The epistle is an exhortation for the persecuted believers to continue in the grace of Jesus Christ. It addresses believers in Christ, seekers of Christ and those who have rejected Christ. Therefore, the writer of the epistle continues to emphasize on the superiority of Christ and his work in comparison to the High Priest and the sacrifices of the Old Testament. It is the superiority of our Lord Jesus that remains as the theme of the eloquently written epistle, and it is rich in foundational Christian doctrine.
