The Nest – Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney

The story revolves around the Plumb family, four middle-aged siblings—Leo, Beatrice, Jack, and Melody—who share a joint trust fund they have affectionately called “The Nest”. They have all spent years prematurely counting on this inheritance to bail them out of various self-inflicted financial crises. However, the family dynamic fractures when the oldest brother, Leo, gets into a catastrophic, drug-fueled car accident. To pay for his rehab and cover up the scandal, their mother drains the trust fund, forcing the dysfunctional siblings to confront their choices, relationships, and financial dependencies.
