Bob Dollar, an aimless young man from Denver takes a job as a “hog site scout” for a corporation called Global Pork Rind. He is tasked with finding large tracts of land in the Texas Panhandle to convert into industrial hog farms, an assignment that pits him against the eccentric and resilient inhabitants of the small town of Woolybucket.
