In a World of turmoil, uncertainty, anxiety, stress, fear, depression, sadness, I just want to give you hope for tomorrow.

Biblical hope can be likened to the ability to completely place our trust in Jesus Christ with the firm believe or assurance that God who was and is and is to come (Revelation 4:8)  will fulfil every promise He made in His Word and by the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Hope is more than expecting a better outcome. It is more than thinking that everything will be all-right. It is more than hoping that the situation will change. True hope materializes when we surrender or give over this day and all our tomorrows into the hands of a living God. Hope says, “I cannot make it on my own, but through Jesus Christ, all things are possible.”  (See Matthew 19:26 and Philippians 4:13)

It is of utmost importance to note that our hope is found in Jesus Christ alone. In Colossians 1:27 Paul referred to Jesus Christ living in us, as the hope of glory. When Paul wrote to Timothy, he also referred to Jesus Crist as our hope. (See 1 Timothy 1:1) The expression, “Know Jesus, know hope. No Jesus, no hope” sums up the importance of knowing Jesus Christ as our source of hope.

But what about tomorrow? How are we going to make it? Will we survive? And our children, will they be alright?

In Matthew 6:34, we read, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Indeed, we may not know what tomorrow may bring, but we know who holds tomorrow and even amidst the uncertainty, we can rest assured when our hope is Jesus Christ and not in this world, its leaders or its systems.

We have hope for the Lord will keep us from all harm; He will watch over our lives, over our coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:7-8)

We have hope for the Lord Jesus Christ promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)  He also promised that He will be with us, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

We have hope for no matter what happens, the Lord will be with us. Even when we pass through the waters, He will be with us. And when we walk through the rivers, it shall not overflow us. Indeed, even when we walk through the fire, we shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch us. (Isaiah 43:2)

We have hope for God promised that He shall supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

We have hope for one day, Jesus Christ shall return to fetch His bride.  (John 14:3)

We can have hope for tomorrow, for those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint”.  (Isaiah 40:31)
